Step Inside the Southern Living 2019 Idea House
We were honored to participate in the Southern Living 2019 Idea House through our exclusive Zuri® Premium Decking by Royal® sponsorship. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing design insights and behind-the-scenes photos from the home.
Earlier in October, we hosted an exclusive “Deck the Fall” event and private tour of the Southern Living 2019 Idea House in Amelia Island, Florida. We welcomed a VIP group that included BlueLinx, Riverside Homes, Lansing Building Products, and Crane Island Development, as well as lifestyle and design influencers from A White Farmhouse, Our Blissful Cottage, Young Love Mommy and This Messy Season.
Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres before John Hillman from Crane Island Development and the builders from Riverside Homes lead a private tour of the home, providing unique behind-the-scenes insights into what went into the build. We began and ended the event on the back porch, overlooking the Florida Intracoastal Waterway.
In a Southern-style home the porches are an important design element, creating an extension of the indoor space that can be used almost year-round. The Southern Living 2019 Idea House is designed with this in mind, featuring more than 1,400 square feet of Zuri Premium Decking in Weathered Gray throughout its outdoor spaces.
Check out the Gallery for more photos of the home and the event.
